Coahulla Creek High School – Whitfield County School District Dalton, GA
The new, 3-story 260,000 sq. ft. school was built to alleviate overcrowding in the county's two older high schools. M. B. Kahn conducted evaluations for 25 different potential sites. During the bid process, we split the packages into smaller pieces, and made recommendations to revise the design, resulting in $15 million in savings. The M. B. Kahn team worked with the District to plan and build a theme of personalized and project-based learning into the design and function of the school. The total cost for land purchases, construction and outfitting the school was $45.2 million. The student capacity is 1,200.
