GE Gas Turbines
This 214,500 sq. ft. testing facility includes 54,500 sq. ft. of exterior process piping and support steel as well as 160,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing and distribution areas. The project consisted of phased implementation of process piping and instrumentation. M.B. Kahn Construction was responsible for the overall systems integration and functionality. Extensive process piping (primarily stainless steel) was required to manage the seven different fuel sources utilized in the test cells. A manifold exhaust system from the individual test cells fed a 10’ X 10’ common stack rising 50 feet in height. M.B. Kahn self performed the concrete equipment foundations, cistern and weir tank modifications. The facility is constructed of masonry veneer and insulated wall panels. The facility contains a full service kitchen/cafeteria, piping and Instrumentation, multiple fuel delivery systems, a manifold exhaust system, 10' X 10'common stack, tank farm and weir tank modifications.
