M. B. Kahn Growth Spurs Expansion in Charleston April 10, 2017
To better serve its local clients, M. B. Kahn is pleased to announce the expansion of its Charleston office. Currently celebrating its 90th year, the company is headquartered in Columbia, SC, and maintains nine offices throughout South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Virginia.
M. B. Kahn opened its Charleston office in November 2013. According to Executive Vice President Scott Appleton, “M. B. Kahn wanted an office where our local project managers and superintendents could work, but, more importantly, we wanted a permanent Charleston address to provide an anchor spot within the community, to better serve our existing clients, and to develop new relationships going forward.”
M. B. Kahn has been building continuously in the Charleston area since the 1950’s. “We’ve been around a long time and we’ve had many repeat clients over the years because of the quality of our work,” said Chris Pettit, Vice President of Pre-Construction. He pointed out that as the number, size, and complexity of their projects have increased, so has the company’s presence in the Holy City.
Its only location in Charleston, M. B. Kahn will soon enjoy a new address as a result of the much anticipated expansion. Their new space is an extension of their original space at 8 North Atlantic Wharf, encompassing the entire second floor of the adjacent building at 148 ½ East Bay, and connecting the two offices. The company will take on the East Bay address as their new space faces that prominent street.
The expansion which is scheduled for completion in May of this year will provide M. B. Kahn with 2500 square feet, enabling the company to continue leveraging its expertise and widening its services throughout the low country of South Carolina and Georgia.
