James Island Library Opens November 4, 2019

M. B. Kahn’s staff had a great weekend opening the gorgeous Baxter-Patrick James Island Library. We love the portraits of James Island educators Nan C. Baxter and Anna S. Patrick, who will be remembered for making positive impacts on their community. Our team worked carefully onsite to include the Evergreen Cemetery into the project via a Culture Walk that guides you through the area’s history. You will want to add this historic stop on your next visit to Charleston! The 20,000 square feet facility also includes a 100-seat auditorium and a DJ station. Yes, you can still check out a book, too. Voters approved a bond referendum by a 3 to 1 margin to fund 5 new libraries, delivered by the M. B. Kahn Design-Build team.
