Summer of Support – Back to School Drive August 28, 2018

Since May, M. B. Kahn has focused our attentions on supporting the many charitable organizations that experience what’s known as the “Summer Slump” as charitable giving and donations drop dramatically.

To help alleviate some of the shortages, M. B. Kahn launched the Summer of Support. Over a four month period, we collected donations for different organizations, movements, and agencies within our local community whose needs are always great.

Bins were placed in the lobby of the Corporate Office located at 101 Flintlake Road, Columbia, SC to collect items for each organization’s most urgent needs.

For the month of July, school supplies were collected and donated to Killian Elementary STEAM Leaders Magnet School. Items collected included backpacks, pens and pencils, crayons, highlighters, graphic calculators, and other much needed supplies. We are excited to help provide for this school’s bright students!
