Grove Creek WWTP Effluent Pump Station Piedmont, South Carolina
M. B. Kahn completed the 2008 construction of a new 6 million gallons a day effluent pump station at the Grove Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant for Western Carolina Regional Sewer Authority, which was acquired by ReWa (Renewable Water Resources), based out of Greenville, around 2011. This $4 million Pump Station was designed by Hazen and provided the clean water discharge from Grove Creek WWTP to the Saluda River. M. B. Kahn also constructed a new reinforced concrete cascade aerator structure adjacent to the Saluda River and installed approximately 220 linear feet of force main. The project also required the installation of miscellaneous piping, valves, electrical switchgear, Variable Frequency Drives,, Motor Control Centers, instrumentation, control hardware, control software, power conduit and control conduit. ReWa decommissioned Grove Creek WWTP along with their Piedmont WWTP in 2012 and replaced them with their Piedmont Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant. ReWa is also a current M. B. Kahn client and provides wastewater treatment services to Greenville County, SC and portions of Spartanburg, Laurens and Anderson counties.
