Dorothea Dix Ribbon Cutting March 29, 2022

Ribbon cutting ceremony was held for Cape Fear Valley Health System’s Dorothea Dix Adolescent Care unit on Friday, March 25th. The 8,000+ square foot behavioral health facility will be used to help serve and care for patients in the Fayetteville region. The structure is dedicated to Dorothea Dix who, successfully lobbied state and federal governments to create the first generation of mental care facilities.
