M. B. Kahn was selected as the Design-Builder for this transload facility in Suffolk, VA. Measuring 1275’ long x 120’ wide, this facility is ten times longer than it is wide. It was designed this way in order to meet site demands and optimize operational efficiencies in the transferring of products between trucks. The facility is constructed with tiltwall concrete panels, a structural steel frame, and a TPO roof. It features a 7,636 SF office area, a remote shipping/receiving office, and a total of 180 dock doors along the two long sides of the facility.
